What a nice place to live is Bos en Lommer and Westerpark with the Staatsliedenbuurt and the Houthavens. There is always something fun to do in and around Westerpark and the same goes for De Centrale Markthal from 1934.

Before long, this national monument - part of the Food Center Amsterdam - will be known as the culinary hotspot of the Netherlands. The transformation has not yet started, but the hall has reopened for events in line with the historical function of the Centrale Markthal.

Fortunately, the industrial past of these neighbourhoods in Amsterdam still finds its way everywhere, creating a character all its own. Looking at Google, it is immediately noticeable that there is not one big shopping street in this area, but that each street has numerous restaurants, shops and amenities.
