Description

General
The municipality of Duiven consists of the three villages Duiven, Groessen and Loo The municipality is located on the A12 motorway in the middle of the Liemers, north of the Pannerdens Kanaal. From 1986 to 1994, Duiven was a growth municipality. From 1995, it focuses mainly on the management and maintenance of its properties and territory.

Duiven city centre
The centre of Duiven has the appearance of a typical village centre. Small cosy streets, the necessary supermarkets and shops and a range of sports, recreation and events.

Duiven Zuid
Duiven Zuid is one of Duiven's wetland areas and located south of the railway line. Duiven Zuid also offers a range of amenities such as shops, schools, sports fields and green spaces. Centrally located in the Duiven Zuid district, Het Eiland was built with shops, homes, schools and a cultural centre surrounded by water features.
Extra attention has been paid to housing quality and architecture in this district. The district has been designed with a well thought-out road plan: the through roads are located on the edge of the district, so that there is as little traffic as possible in the residential areas.

Accessibility
Duiven has good accessibility due to its location on the A12 motorway and the presence of an NS railway station, from where you can reach Arnhem in less than 11 minutes.
