Description
Apartment complex De Halve Maan is located on the sunny side of the IJ, with stunning views of the city and within walking distance of the ferry to the centre of Amsterdam. De Halve Maen is a sturdy, comfortable building located on Spadinalaan in Amsterdam North: low, light and sleek. Eight floors high, with a total of 86 free sector rental flats. With a living area from around 54 to 137 m². And almost all different. There is a choice of 2, 3, 4 and 5-room free sector rental flats, always with a balcony or terrace. A characteristic feature is the exceptionally large outdoor spaces combined with the spatial layout of the flats.
Directly by the ferry, which runs from Central Station to Buiksloterwegvaart, on the northern banks of the IJ, lies the new Overhoeks district. In 1971, Shell opened its headquarters in the 100-metre-high Shell Tower.
All flats have a spacious balcony or terrace. The kitchen is equipped with built-in appliances and the bathroom in most cases has a bathtub, shower corner and often a double washbasin.
The 2 entrances have a Belgian bluestone floor and white painted walls. There are 4 lifts in total. There are 2 lifts per main entrance located on either side of the storerooms. The glass-fronted doors have a sliding entrance and in the hall are the post boxes and the videophone system.
De Halve Maen is built in a U-shape that forms like a half-moon around a semi-public garden. The car park under the residential complex has a parking space for each flat.
De Halve Maen pays attention to sustainability. For instance, the flats are heated and cooled via a heat and cold storage system (WKO), there is low-temperature underfloor heating and all windows have double glazing (HR++). For a comfortable indoor climate, the flats can not only be heated but also cooled. In summer, cooled water is piped into the ground to cool down to around 18 degrees and refresh the house on its return. The heat given off is stored in the ground and used to heat the building in winter. The heat and cold energy is generated using a heat pump. High-efficiency glazing provides insulation, keeping heat in and cold out.
Besides trendy entertainment venues, Overhoeks has plenty of other amenities nearby. Children can attend primary school and then Hyperion Lyceum. For shopping, trendy shopping street Van der Pekstraat and Van der Pekmarkt are within walking distance.
