"Zonneweide, part of Groot Zonnehoeve, is located on the eastern edge of Apeldoorn where the forests of Schuylenburg merge into the open countryside. From Groot Zonnehoeve, you can quickly get into or out of town. Via the N345, you can drive straight onto the A1 or A50 and live next to Apeldoorn De Maten NS railway station. A godsend, especially if you like to go out for the day or travel a lot for work.

Also nearby are the Eglantier and De Linie shopping centres, where you can get all your daily groceries. Zonneweide is ideally located near the A50 and A1 motorways. But public transport connections are also excellent: you are close to De Maten NS railway station, but of course you can also travel from Apeldoorn station. Apeldoorn city centre is a 10-minute bike ride away.

On the edge of Zonneweide is a care complex, a home for children with disabilities. The idea for this residential initiative originated with a group of parents. They were looking for a suitable form of living for their children with disabilities. The aim is to offer young adult residents with a mental disability a pleasant and safe small-scale home.

The 41 homes in Zonneweide range in size from about122 to 158 m2. They are spread over 9 blocks in various compositions. Parking is centred in parking courtyards so that the homes are optimally surrounded by greenery. The houses are built with dark brown and brown-red brick facades, creating a classic look.

There is a lot of variation within the houses of Zonneweide. There are 12 types, giving each house its own signature. Some homes have beautifully ornamented French balconies, others have a spouted gable or variation on it or an extra-large window in the side elevation. There are houses with 4 bedrooms and houses with 3 bedrooms and a multifunctional attic. Do you want a corner kitchen or do you prefer a kitchen with an island arrangement? A bathroom with toilet or would you rather have a separate toilet in the hallway? There is always a home to suit your needs. Whichever house you choose, they all feature double doors to the spacious back garden. The French doors with side windows also make for a wonderfully light living room.

Almost all homes are fitted with solar panels. All homes within this project are gas-free, as the geothermal heat pump is electrically controlled. In all homes, the ground and 1st floors are heated via comfortable underfloor heating. Where there is a 4th bedroom on the attic floor, it is also heated via underfloor heating."
