Westergouwe is very easily accessible. The neighbourhood has connections to two provincial roads. Via the N456, you can quickly reach the A20 and A12 motorways. Via the N207, you drive to Waddinxveen and Gouda city centre. Also handy: Gouda's NS railway station is at cycling distance.
If you want, you can be at the historic Market Square within 10 cycling minutes. Amid the narrow shopping streets, ancient canals, hidden courtyards and inviting terraces. Not for nothing has Gouda's city centre previously been voted the best in the Netherlands.
Westergouwe is being further developed into a beautiful and sustainable neighbourhood. Around 4,000 new homes will be built in the coming years. Westergouwe is located on the outskirts of Gouda amidst greenery. At the heart of Westergouwe itself is a central area with various facilities. From the neighbourhood, there will be several entrances to the nature and recreation area the Green Blue Zone. The area itself is mainly quiet and offers (semi-)paved cycling, walking and hiking trails. Part of the nature and recreation area is protected nature reserve.
All flats have a fully equipped kitchen and spacious bathroom. Do you choose 1 or 2 bedrooms? The flats have private outdoor space in the form of a balcony and indoor storage. Some of the flats have additional storage elsewhere on the floor. Communal parking is available right next to the building, for residents and visitors. A number of shared cars are available for residents who want to take occasional car rides.
The homes are sustainable and energy-efficient through the use of natural materials and modern technical installations. There are PV panels on the roof of the complex and the flats have a sustainable and gas-free heating system via underfloor heating by ground heat.

A social area, The Living, with a terrace by the water provides a connection between residents. The Living is an attractively furnished meeting space. The Mylivy hostesses facilitate its use, organising and facilitating activities there. They are the face for the residents. Every other week on Tuesdays, between 9 am and 4 pm, they are present in Westergoud. They can also be reached digitally via a specially developed app. Every tenant gets access to the Mylivy app. This provides information on planned activities, but also allows Mylivy to reach out to residents and invite them to activities. The credo is: nothing must be done, everything is possible!
Participation is, of course, without obligation. Not everyone likes all activities, which is why there are different interest groups. Furthermore, the hostess keeps an eye on things and acts as a point of contact for any everyday matters that residents may have trouble picking up or finding out for themselves.
Green fingers? They can go to the botanical garden next to the building. The garden is shared with residents of the adjacent building.
