About the Emmaheerdt
The Emmaheerdt offers residents a carefree living environment. It's all about carefree living. Whether it's comfortable living for seniors or living in combination with care needs, the Emmaheerdt is the right place for you.In cooperation with Oosterlengte, which operates the nursing home on the 1st and 2nd floors, care is offered in the form of district nursing and a meal service. To assess your eligibility for home care, a district nurse will visit you at home to discuss your situation. Home care is covered by the basic insurance, while other services can be purchased from Oosterlengte for a fee. Household support is also an option and can be requested through the Social Support Act from the municipality. Type of flats
The former LTS has been restored and connected to the newly built wing by a glass atrium. The residential flats are located both in the former school building and on the 3rd and 4th floors of the new wing. The central entrance is located on Poststraat. In the Emmaheerdt, you will live in a spacious, high-quality-finished and care-accessible one-bedroom flat. You can choose between corner houses and intermediate houses on different floors (ground floor to fourth floor). The flats have different sizes and are all equipped with an open-plan kitchen, a spacious bathroom and other comforts. The upper floors are accessible by several lifts, including for wheelchair and walker users. All residences are barrier-free. The living areas range from about 50 m² to about 75 m². All flats have a spacious storage room in the house, for example to be used as a hobby or laundry room. If you use a mobility scooter, you can also store and/or charge it in the storage room. The flats are equipped with a modern Bruynzeel kitchen, which is fitted with magnolia-coloured cupboards and drawers, and a plastic worktop in dark stone colour. The kitchen is equipped with a sink, an induction hob, a motorless extractor and an integrated fridge-freezer (tabletop model). The fully fitted bathroom has a shower, toilet (fitted with grab rails), sink and tiling. The bathroom is fully accessible for disabled people. The floor has dark grey vinyl, the tiles on the wall are white and grey.

Meeting room
In the former gymnasium of the old LTS, a fine meeting space will be created, where you will have the opportunity to meet fellow residents. This space is also ideal for events with large groups. It is also possible to enjoy a healthy and tasty meal.
