Description

To let: Lovely 4-room flat on Java Island in the Binnentuinen

Live freely in a unique residential area with striking architecture. These spacious flats and maisonettes are situated in the inner gardens of Java Island. A peaceful location, yet within cycling distance of Amsterdam city centre and Central Station. The A10 is easily accessible via the Piet Hein Tunnel.

Space and variety
Two-, three- or four-room flats and maisonettes are available to rent in the inner gardens. The flats vary considerably in size and layout. However, all homes come with an open-plan kitchen as standard. The bathroom features a shower and washbasin. Some flats have a more spacious bathroom with a bath and a second toilet. The terrace or balcony overlooks the green courtyard garden.

Palazzi amidst the greenery
The 48 flats and maisonettes are situated on Taman Sapituin, Imogrituin and Tosarituin. The homes are spread across four detached residential blocks. These three-storey residential buildings, also known as ‘Palazzi’, are situated alongside car-free, public courtyards where children can play safely. Like the rest of Java Island, these courtyards and residential blocks form part of the urban development plan by architect Sjoerd Soeters. Each courtyard is laid out differently and has its own character.

Everything in the neighbourhood
Java Island forms part of the Eastern Docklands, which also comprises Borneo, KNSM Island, Sporenburg and the Rietlanden. Soeters has succeeded in his ambition to create an atmosphere on Java Island where people feel at home. Java Island has developed into a much-loved residential area, with a rich mix of architectural styles. Its central location is ideal. The Brazilië shopping centre is situated on the Oostelijke Handelskade, a six-minute cycle ride away. Primary schools, nurseries and a medical centre are also within cycling distance. The centre of Amsterdam and Central Station can be reached within a few minutes by bike or public transport. The A10 ring road is easily accessible via the Piet Hein Tunnel.

Layout
Entrance hall with a long corridor, bathroom with bath, washbasin and separate toilet, three spacious bedrooms (approx. 15 m², 10 m² and 10 m²), living room (approx. 30 m²) with an open-plan kitchen fitted with various built-in appliances, opening onto the west-facing balcony.
