- Tenancy period -

- Income requirement -
To rent a property, you can use the following income requirement as a guide:

Your gross annual income (less any financial obligations, such as maintenance payments, mortgages, personal loans, etc.) must be at least:

* For a single income:
• Your gross annual income must be 42 times the basic monthly rent, where the rent exceeds €1,600. In practical terms, this calculation applies if your gross annual income is €72,000 or higher.

* For two incomes
• Where there are two incomes, the gross annual incomes of both partners are added together to determine the joint calculated income. The assessment is then based on the ratio between the two partners’ incomes within this joint calculated income.
• You may count both incomes at 100%, provided that one of you earns at least 70% of your total joint calculated income. The ratio must then be 70/30 or higher (for example, 80/20).
