You may only live here if you do NOT have a common long-term relationship (married or registered partnership). You can live with a colleague or friend.
What is the income requirement for a friends' house? A friends' house can only be rented with two incomes. Suppose you want to rent a friends' house of € 1,800, then each 'friend' must independently meet the income requirement for a rent of € 900. This amounts to a minimum of €3,600 gross per month.
This is an income guideline. Equity may also count for 10%.
What happens if my 'friend' wants to leave the house? If one of the 'friends' leaves, you have to propose another 'new friend' who can come on the rental agreement.
This means flexible living! In the first year it is not possible to take over the contract (or have it taken over), after the first year there can be a name change on the contract up to 2 times a year.


Living surrounded by hotspots
B'mine is located on Overhoeks. On the south side of the IJ, next to the A'dam tower, Eye Filmmuseum and many other hotspots, such as the Tolhuistuin, café de Pont and A-Lab. The metamorphosis of Shell's 'raw' work site has resulted in a stunning housing development and an enrichment of Amsterdam's cultural and culinary offering.

Attractive in Noord
Those living in B'mine can literally go two ways. In old Noord, 'hip and new' has found a place. On Van der Pekstraat, you will find several nice shops and Smaaqt. Furthermore, Proeverij Landmarkt on Schellingwouderdijk is highly recommended. Make yourself comfortable with a freshly prepared meal or be tempted by the organic stuff specially sourced from small artisanal growers, farmers, honest and close by.

The city at your feet
Although Noord itself has a lot to offer, it's also nice to know that you can be in the heart of Amsterdam in no time. The ferry takes you quickly to Central Station or walk under the station and you are immediately in a completely different world. A city that is alive 24/7 and never bores. There is always a great exhibition, fun event, special performance, concert or surprising market. Residents of B'mine enjoy this whenever they want. And then go home again, leaving the hustle and bustle of the city behind.
