- Tenancy period -
A tenancy agreement is entered into for a minimum of one year and is thereafter renewed for an indefinite period. After the minimum term of 12 calendar months, a notice period of 1 calendar month applies.

- Income requirement -
To rent a property, you can use the following income requirement as a guideline:

Your gross annual income (less any financial obligations, such as maintenance payments, mortgages, personal loans, etc.) must be at least:

* For a single income:
• The gross annual income must be at least 42 times the basic monthly rent. In other words, your gross monthly income must be at least 3.5 times the basic monthly rent.

* For two incomes:
• Where there are two incomes, the gross annual incomes of both partners are added together to determine the combined calculated income.
• If the combined gross annual income is between €44,863 and €57,280, the combined gross annual income must be at least 51 times the basic monthly rent. In practical terms, this means that your combined gross monthly income must be at least 4.25 times the basic monthly rent.
• If the combined gross annual income exceeds €57,280, it must be at least 48 times the basic monthly rent. In other words, this means that your combined gross monthly income must be at least 4 times the basic monthly rent.
