The heart of the neighbourhood consists of brand-new sports facilities. Surrounding it are large and smaller buildings with courtyards, gardens, flats, family homes and various neighbourhood facilities. You can enter Laan van Spartaan from two sides: via Jan van Galenstraat on the south side (3 turns into the neighbourhood) or from the north side via 1 of the 2 bridges over Erasmusgracht (but only on foot or by bike).

There is no through traffic, only local traffic in Laan van Spartaan: nice and safe and quiet. And there is plenty of liveliness, because there are always people playing football, jogging or tai-chiing on the green sports fields. And by the way: in the vicinity of Laan van Spartaan - especially in the rapidly growing Bos en Lommer - there is plenty to do, eat and experience.
