Your rental flat in Sluishuis is situated at the entrance to IJburg, at the tip of Steigereiland. You’ll be living by the water, but also right next to IJburglaan, the access road to the A10 ring road. Fancy a trip to the centre of Amsterdam? There are tram and bus stops on IJburglaan for services heading towards the city centre. Tram 26 takes you from IJburg to Amsterdam – and back again – in under 15 minutes. Or make use of the shared transport services available in Sluishuis. A pedestrian and cycle bridge provides a link to Diemen and Amsterdam East. Fancy a nice dinner or a drink? At IJburg’s marina, you’ll find modern restaurants, traditional pubs and lovely outdoor terraces. The ferry departs from the marina several times a day for Pampus Fortress Island and Muiderslot Castle.

Life in Sluishuis is all about living, working and relaxing. Here, you’ll be just 15 minutes from Amsterdam city centre, whilst also being on Steigereiland in the IJburg neighbourhood. The area is brimming with delightful spots by the water, and nature is always close by! Enjoy a day at Blijburg beach, do your shopping at the shops just round the corner, or work out at one of the nearby sports facilities. Thanks to the countless restaurants and cafés on IJburglaan and in the marina, you can always enjoy a tasty bite to eat, even close by.

From Sluishuis, you can reach the A10 ring road in two minutes. You can also leave IJburg via the east side, which takes you straight onto the A1 and A9. Public transport and cycling are also excellent options here. The tram stops right outside the door, running every four minutes during rush hour, and takes you to Central Station in a quarter of an hour.

The Bruynzeel kitchen is fitted with top-brand built-in appliances: a dishwasher, induction hob, combination microwave, fridge-freezer and a recirculating extractor hood. The bathroom has a shower, toilet, single washbasin and a designer radiator.

All studios and flats have energy-efficient heating and hot water systems and triple-glazed windows. You can control the temperature in your home using a smart thermostat. There are solar panels on the roof. The energy generated benefits the upper-floor flats and the communal areas of Sluishuis.

A 400-metre-long jetty is being built on the water around the building. This serves as a mooring for boats and houseboats, but it’s also a lovely place to go for a walk. Another unique feature: the roof of the Sluishuis will feature a scenic walk, offering 360-degree views over the IJmeer and Amsterdam.
