The Vlijtsekade

This is now a cultural meeting place, where the site’s industrial character blends with the creativity of entrepreneurs.

De Vlijtsekade is designed to be car-free, so you’ll need to park in the courtyards. The quay is, in fact, intended solely for cyclists and pedestrians. The easiest way to reach the new-build development by car is via the Vlijtseweg. If you’re coming into the city from Amersfoort or Deventer via the N344, you’ll be at your home in under 10 minutes.
As a (future) resident of Apeldoorn, you’ll naturally want to visit the lively city centre. On foot, it takes about 10 minutes. By bike, it takes just half that time. There’s a lovely cycle route along the Apeldoorn Canal, heading towards the city centre or towards ‘t Sluisje, which connects the east and west sides of the canal.
