Berkel-Enschot, which grew out of the two former (farming) villages of Berkel and Enschot, is part of the municipality of Tilburg and lies somewhat apart on the eastern side of the city. Berkel-Enschot is a beautiful Brabant village for those who want to live, work, shop and enjoy leisure activities in a charming setting. The Dorpshart district forms the charming village centre, with inviting cafés and restaurants and atmospheric shopping streets. Stunning running trails allow you to experience nature up close; just round the corner is a large recreational lake with a beach bar, and there are various sports clubs to join.
In the immediate vicinity of Berkel-Enschot, you can cycle or walk straight out into the countryside. With Tilburg just round the corner, there’s always a varied selection of shops, cultural attractions and restaurants within easy reach! Anyone looking for a bit of hustle and bustle will find plenty to enjoy in Tilburg.

Hoge Hoek, together with the neighbourhoods of Enschotsebaan, Koningsoord and Akker/Heikant, forms the residential area known as De Overhoeken. Hoge Hoek is characterised by its village-like architecture. The neighbourhood comprises many different types of homes: blocks of flats, semi-detached houses and the occasional detached house, each with its own unique architectural style. The neighbourhood is green. This is enhanced by the requirement for hedges at the front and/or sides of the houses. The public spaces feature grassy squares and play areas for children.
To emphasise the village-like character, the streets are narrow and public parking facilities are limited. All residents have their own parking space attached to their home, usually located in courtyards at the rear of the property.
