Living in a unique location, close to the centre of Breda
The ‘Hendric’ building comprises 124 rental and owner-occupied flats, commercial premises on the ground floor, a communal cycle shed, a communal lounge and an underground car park (which also meets the parking needs of the adjacent building, the Baronesse). All flats are accessed via a gallery and are reachable via two lifts and stairwells. MVGM Wonen lets a total of 68 flats.
The building features a number of sloping façade lines, giving it a striking appearance and thereby emphasising the relationship between Faamplein and the railway landscape. Part of the fencing features a motif of beer bottles, referencing the site’s history. Thousands of crates from the former De Drie Hoefijzers brewery were once stored here.
In designing the building, considerable attention was paid to ensuring a good connection between the building and the public space. A solid façade has been avoided almost everywhere.

The main entrances are double-height spaces, easily recognisable and offering a view through to the courtyard garden.
The courtyard garden is a semi-public space and can be closed off with a gate. It has been landscaped to be as green as possible. The façades here are clad with wooden panelling. The building embraces this wonderful courtyard garden, which is ideal for having a beer with the neighbours, amongst other things. And if it rains? No problem. Residents can then make use of the residents’ lounge.

The apartment block offers various types of flats, ranging from 75 to as much as 123 m². All flats have a living room with an open-plan kitchen fitted with built-in appliances (fridge-freezer, combination microwave, induction hob, wall-mounted extractor hood and dishwasher). Next to the kitchen is an internal storage room housing the heat recovery unit, the washing machine and the tumble dryer.
Depending on the type of flat, you’ll have 2 or 3 bedrooms and either a bathroom (with bath and shower) or a shower room. The toilet is located in a separate room. You can access a loggia (partly enclosed balcony) via the living room or one of the bedrooms. A separate storage room is located on the ground floor or on level -1.
The flats are heated by underfloor heating, which is connected to the district heating system.
On Terheijdenstraat, between the two main entrances, there is a communal cycle shed.

If you wish, and subject to availability, you also have the option of renting one or two parking spaces in the underground car park, provided they are available at the time. In this case, you are not renting a fixed parking space, but what is known as a ‘roaming space’. This means you can park in any of your landlord’s parking spaces (marked in blue). The underground car park also has a number of visitor spaces, which you must book in advance (you will be provided with further information on this).

Bus stops and Breda Centraal railway station are literally just round the corner!
