Living in the Blue complex means you’ll be living in a beautiful apartment block, right in the heart of the historic centre of Nieuw Delft! Blue is one of the five residential blocks in the Guldenwater development in Delft. You can recognise Blue by its light-coloured façade, on the left-hand side of the wider development.

If you move into this complex, you’ll have access to the communal courtyard garden. This is a lovely butterfly garden, with a winding path running through it. It’s a lovely, playful spot to get some fresh air or enjoy the sunshine.

Blue was built in 2021 with a strong focus on sustainability. Your monthly energy bill will be nice and low because all the flats have an energy label A and are well insulated. There are communal solar panels on the roof, which provide some of the electricity for the flats.

Nieuw Delft is a new, vibrant and modern district of Delft. This district brings together the different parts of the city of Delft, including its beautiful historic buildings and canals.

Typical Delft
With its historic city centre, Delft provides a wonderful backdrop for a day’s shopping, an afternoon on a terrace or an evening out for dinner. Famous for Delft Blue, Vermeer – the ‘Master of Light’ – and its connection to the House of Orange, Delft is brimming with cultural attractions. You’ll find a wide choice of museums, churches and other monuments. The compact city centre is perfect for exploring on foot. With its canals, centuries-old façades and charming little squares, it’s a delight to wander around.

A park on your doorstep
At Blue, you’ll be living right next to the new Van Leeuwenhoekpark. This park is 600 metres long. It’s unique because it’s situated on the roof of the railway tunnel!

The choice of amenities is overwhelming!
We’ve mentioned it before: you’ll be living right in the heart of Nieuw Delft’s city centre. This means you’ll have access to every amenity you can think of in the city centre! There are shopping centres, other shops, supermarkets and medical facilities, all within walking distance!

Accessibility
Because you’re living in such a central location, you can basically do everything on foot or by bike! But if you do need to travel further afield, Blue also offers excellent public transport links. In fact, at Blue, you’re just 500 metres from Delft Central Station. From this station, you can travel by train all over the country! It’s also a great location for driving. You’re on the motorway in just 6 minutes’ drive.
