The location - Den Hoorn
Den Hoorn is a friendly village that has existed since 1100 and lies right next to Delft. The town forms the transition to the nature of Midden Delfland with its meadows, creeks, canals and farms. Metropolitan entertainment is also within easy reach: there are good public transport connections and the A4 and A13 motorways take you to Rotterdam or The Hague within 15 minutes.
Den Hoorn was originally an agricultural village. It is a friendly new housing estate with lots of trees, grass and water, between the old centre of Den Hoorn and the nature of Midden Delfland. A rural environment, but with everything close by: good shops for daily shopping, a supermarket, primary schools, childcare and a sports park. The cosy centre of Delft is also nearby; ten minutes by bike and you are at one of the many outdoor cafés.
