As part of the required urgency to reside in the municipality of Diemen, it must be demonstrated by means of an extract from the Basic Registration of Persons that this house hunter has lived for at least one year outside a radius of 20 kilometres as the crow flies from the work location/placement at the time of the application for a housing permit. This distance is calculated from the nearest border of the municipality of Diemen, measured from the applicant's residential location.
- To prevent vacancy, if no suitable candidate from the category of socially and/or economically committed house-seekers presents himself within two weeks of publication of the relevant property for letting, BPD is entitled to let the medium-price rental properties to regular house-seekers who meet the admission criteria as referred to in Articles 2.2.1 and 2.2.2 paragraph 2 Hvv 2022 or its legal successor, and also otherwise do not have one of the grounds for refusal referred to in Article 2.4.2 Hvv 2022, with the exception of Article 2.4.2. paragraph 1 under d Hvv, or its legal successor, provided that the multi-year average of the priority scheme is met.
