Living in Grootland
Keizerstad Nijmegen is largely situated on the River Waal, in the province of Gelderland, not far from the German border.
In the Grootland neighbourhood (Nijmegen-Zuid), MVGM Wonen lets a total of 104 flats with a usable floor area (GBO) ranging from approximately 88 to 105 m²; four penthouse flats have a floor area of 140 to 143 m².
The flats are spread across three buildings, situated in a green setting and connected to one another by an underground car park, which contains individual garage spaces, the use of which is linked to the rented flat. Five rental flats (Carnotstraat 55 to 63) have only a storage room in the basement. Tenants of these flats cannot use the car park but must park their vehicles on the public highway, where there is normally sufficient parking space available.
The flats can be accessed via three central entrance doors, as well as from the car park. You take the lift (or stairs) to your floor. The front door opens onto the central landing.
There is a choice of six different flat types. Most flats have one or two bedrooms. Flat type A has two or three bedrooms. Flat type F has three bedrooms, and type G has a dining room and two bedrooms in addition to the living room. Spacious balconies make it a pleasure to spend time outdoors, weather permitting.
When an apartment is offered to you, it comes with a fully fitted kitchen, complete with appliances. The bathroom is fitted with a shower, a washbasin and a toilet. Flat types F and G also have a bath. All flats also have a second, separate toilet.
The flats are centrally heated (block heating). Heating costs, together with charges for the provision of other services, are included in the total rent.
