Living in Grootland
Keizerstad Nijmegen is largely located on the river Waal, in the province of Gelderland, not far from the border with Germany.
In the Grootland district (Nijmegen-Zuid), MVGM Wonen lets a total of 104 flats with a user surface area (GFA) varying from around 88 to 105 m2; four top flats have a surface area of 140 to 143 m2.
The flats are spread over three buildings, which are located in green surroundings and linked to each other by a parking garage located under the buildings, in which there are separate garage boxes, the use of which is linked to the rental flat. Five rental flats (Carnotstraat 55 to 63) only have a storage room in the basement. Tenants of these flats cannot use the parking garage, but must park their vehicles on the public road, where sufficient parking space is normally available.
The flats can be accessed via three central entrance doors, as well as from the parking garage. You take the lift (or stairs) to the first floor. The front door opens onto the central floor hallway.
There is a choice of six flat types. Most flats have one or two bedrooms. Apartment-type A has 2 or 3 bedrooms. Apartment-type F has 3 bedrooms and type G has a dining room and 2 bedrooms in addition to the living room. Spacious balconies make it pleasant for you to spend time outdoors when the weather permits.
When you are offered a flat, it comes with a full-option kitchen, i.e. equipped with appliances. The bathroom has a shower, a washbasin and a toilet. Flat types F and G also have a bath. All flats also have a second, separate toilet.
The flats are centrally heated (block heating). The heating costs, together with the costs for the provision of other services, are part of the total rent.
