Oss is a medium-sized, independent municipality situated in North Brabant, between the provincial capital ’s-Hertogenbosch and Nijmegen in Gelderland. Oss has traditionally been a predominantly industrial town. Nowadays, Oss is a town that is also particularly well known for research and development in the fields of life sciences and agro-food.

On the outskirts of Oss, to the north-west of the town centre and bordering the Ossemeer nature reserve, lies the Horzak neighbourhood. Since 2017, homes have been built here around three stately avenues, which form a link between the north and south. To the south, you have access to the centre of Oss. To the east, Horzak is bordered by the Rusheuvel sports park. To the east, a wide green belt forms the transition to the Elzenburg business park. And to the north, you have unobstructed views of the nature reserve between Oss and Macharen.
The street names in the new-build neighbourhood of Horzak refer to the area’s former inhabitants. Extensive excavations have shown that this area was inhabited as far back as 3,500 years ago.

MVGM Wonen lets 32 single-family homes in Horzak (built in 2017). The rental properties in this complex are scattered throughout the neighbourhood and feature different architectural styles for each block. In all cases, however, the homes are garden-facing, with the kitchen situated at the front. On the ground floor, the entrance hall provides access to a toilet and to the living room with an open-plan kitchen. The corner-style kitchen (with the exception of property types F, G and N) is fitted with kitchen appliances: an extractor hood, hob, dishwasher, combination microwave and a fridge-freezer.
The hall also houses the staircase leading to the first floor, where you’ll find three bedrooms and a bathroom (fitted with a bath, a separate shower, a washbasin and a second toilet). A fixed staircase leading to the second floor takes you to the open-plan loft space, which is fitted with connections for a washing machine and tumble dryer.

The properties have a living area of 122 or 129 m² and are situated on plots ranging from 135 to as much as 236 m². There is a separate (bicycle) storage shed in the back garden. The front gardens and (where applicable) side gardens are planted with hedges (as required by the municipality of Oss) and are maintained by the landlord. All properties are fitted with solar panels.
