Horzak: Living on historic land

Oss is a medium-sized municipality in North Brabant between 's-Hertogenbosch and Nijmegen and is known for life sciences and agro-food. On the north-western edge of Oss, Horzak is a 2017 new housing estate adjacent to the Ossemeer nature reserve with three stately avenues connecting it. The city centre is a short distance away and the neighbourhood borders sports park Rusheuvel and a wide green strip with permanent views of nature reserve between Oss and Macharen. Archaeological finds show that this area was already inhabited 3,500 years ago.

MVGM Wonen rents 32 single-family houses here spread throughout the neighbourhood, each block with its own architecture. All homes are garden-oriented with the kitchen at the front and have an entrance hall with toilet a living room with open kitchen three bedrooms a bathroom with bath separate shower and second toilet a staircase to the open attic with connections for washing machine and dryer. The living areas are 122 or 129 m² with plots ranging from 135 to 236 m² and a rear garden with separate (bicycle) shed. The front and side gardens have hedges maintained by the landlord. All properties have solar panels.
