Living at De Gijsbrecht means living in a community where people look out for one another. There’s plenty of space to socialise in the charming courtyard garden or the communal lounge on the ground floor. Various activities are also organised in the communal lounge. These range from having a cup of coffee, joining a bridge club, art club or book club, doing exercise classes, to playing boules. There is an active residents’ association, which represents the tenants’ interests in consultation with the tenants’ organisation and is also closely involved in organising enjoyable activities such as social drinks and dinners.

Next to De Gijsbrecht is Zonnehuis Theresia, where people with dementia live in a small-scale setting.

At De Gijsbrecht, a caretaker is also on site once a week to assist residents; you can pop in for a chat or to discuss minor technical maintenance issues in the building.
