Why The Mix? The name says it all: a mix of people live together here. Side by side and with each other. Together with the inner courtyard, which is also being developed, the buildings form a healthy and social living environment where residents find and connect with each other.

De Mix features a climate-adaptive roof, also known as a water-storage roof. One of its great advantages is that, in our increasingly hot summers, it flattens the heat peak. During heavy rainfall, also something we see more and more often in the Netherlands, a water-storing roof has the advantage that the rainwater is absorbed and can therefore be better regulated. The rainwater is then collected in the building's rain barrel. Here, residents can use it to water the plants. The flats themselves are gas-free, all have their own air-water heat pump for cooling and heating, and special (plasma) filters are installed. The filters increase the air quality in the flats. This sustainable mix ensures a pleasant living environment.

Apart from the high-rise buildings you find in a city, Overvecht is green. It is even the greenest neighbourhood in Utrecht. It has the most trees per inhabitant. Go to the park for a picnic, or use the green space for sports. With your children, visit one of the various playgrounds or go to the city farm, for example. Whatever your form of relaxation, it won't be hard to find it here.

As if the neighbourhood does not have enough to offer, you will also find shopping centre Overvecht. Residents from other districts of Utrecht come to Overvecht especially for this. If you live in De Mix, you can walk there in no time. You go to the Overvecht shopping centre for shopping, to do your shopping, to buy a present or for the odd job during your move. But that's not all, they haven't forgotten about the catering in this cosy shopping centre with more than a hundred shops.

Maximum income: The properties are intended for middle-income households. A median household income does not exceed €67,366 for single-person households and €89,821 for multi-person households.

Priority target groups: The allocation of rental properties is based on a draw, with priority being given to the target groups transitional tenants and those with vital occupations, according to the policy of the Municipality of Utrecht. However, these groups must meet the rental conditions.

- Flow-through tenant: The house seeker who, as main tenant, actually and lawfully occupies an independent social rental house in the housing market region and who leaves this house vacant after moving, and this rental house is owned by a landlord who rents via WoningNet/DAK;
In the viewing request, you should indicate that you are a transitional tenant. This should be proven by uploading a landlord's statement.
