24-hour emergency call system

All flats are equipped with the above facilities. The care flats are additionally equipped with an emergency call system, so that help can be provided adequately should such a situation arise. This gives you the option of calling in a professional team for help 24 hours a day. You are then always assured of good and quick help in emergencies. You arrange the subscription yourself with a healthcare provider of your choice.

Finish

The flats are fitted with a modern Bruynzeel kitchen fitted with magnolia coloured cupboards and drawers, and a dark stone coloured plastic worktop. The kitchen is equipped with a sink, an induction hob, a motorless extractor and an integrated fridge-freezer (tabletop model). The fully fitted bathroom has a shower, toilet (fitted with grab rails), sink and tiling. The bathroom is fully accessible for disabled people. The floor has dark grey vinyl, the tiles on the wall are white and grey.

In cooperation with Oosterlengte, which operates the nursing home on the 1st and 2nd floors, care is offered in the form of district nursing and a meal service. To assess whether you qualify for home care, a district nurse will visit you at home to discuss your situation. Home care is reimbursed under the basic health insurance; other services can be purchased from Oosterlengte for a fee. Household support is also an option and can be applied for through the Social Support Act at the municipality. Sustainable living

The flats are sustainably heated and cooled using heat and cold storage (WKO). In summer, you can sit outside on the communal gallery. All equipment in the flats is energy-efficient, complying with label A as a minimum. The flats also have low-temperature heating by means of underfloor heating. The combination of underfloor heating and alternative energy sources minimises gas consumption. In the newly built wing, the flats are in fact sustainably heated and cooled using a heat and cold storage system (WKO).

The location

The Emmaheerdt has a very convenient location in the historic centre of Winschoten. Both green parks and important amenities are around the corner. The Sterrenbos, a national monument and approximately 6 hectares in size, is just a 5-minute walk away. The City Park is also close by. Winschoten's train and bus station is only 250 metres away.

Facilities in the building include a GP, pharmacy, physiotherapist, dentist and more. The shopping street and shopping centre 't Rond are a stone's throw from the complex. Here there is a wide choice of shops for daily and non-daily shopping, and a diverse range of catering establishments.
