PMT puts tenants in the spotlight!
Pensioenfonds Metaal en Techniek (PMT) administers the pension scheme for the Metal and Technology industry.
PMT invests mainly in projects where the objective is to create affordable rental housing with a rent between €630 and €950.
Inge van den Doel, Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of PMT: "In the Netherlands, there is a large group of people who do not qualify for social housing, but for whom rents in the free sector are too high or a house for sale is out of reach. PMT wants to meet the demand for affordable rental housing. After all, PMT's constituency also largely consists of this group of people. That is why we are happy to invest in these kinds of projects that also provide a social return.
A nice example of such rental housing within PMT's portfolio are the properties on Londenstraat, Oxfordstraat and Engelandlaan in Zoetermeer.
Nice flats and single-family houses with private parking space in the immediate vicinity of the "Stadshart" shopping centre and the beautiful Westerpark. Peace, space, privacy and various amenities within walking distance!
And that tenants live here with great satisfaction is evidenced by the fact that some tenants have lived here for more than 25 years! And that, of course, is extremely valuable for PMT!
As a token of appreciation, PMT therefore last week put no fewer than 61 long-sitting tenants in the limelight by surprising them with a beautiful bouquet of flowers!
