Privacy Statement
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is an important law that guarantees the protection of personal data. MVGM collects personal data in the context of renting out houses and parking spaces. This may include your personal data. We handle this data with care. MVGM attaches great importance to compliance with the GDPR in order to guarantee the privacy of its employees, tenants, and other parties involved.
Scope Privacy Statement
MVGM respects the privacy and personal life of its website visitors and (prospective) tenants. The privacy statement before you is valid for Ikwilhuren.nu. MVGM Vastgoedmanagement B.V. is the data controller.
Who are we?

What personal data do we process about you and how?
MVGM records as little personal data as possible, only what is necessary to ensure data minimization. MVGM can only perform its services properly if it can request and record your personal data. This is necessary in order to provide targeted information about our products and services, but also for entering into and executing agreements, for combating fraud, for complying with legal provisions, for the use of the website and online services, and for improving our services. Below you can read from whom we receive your data, when and why we need this data (purpose), on what basis we need the data, what retention period we use for this, where it is stored, and who else will receive this data.

An account is required in order to rent the right property to the potential candidate and to carry out the appropriate checks when renting, as some properties have a minimum age requirement or are only suitable for a specific target group.
Basis:
This processing is necessary for the performance of a contract between MVGM and the house hunter.
Retention period:
120 days: after 100 days, email asking “are you still looking?”, after 117 reminders, deleted on the 120th day with confirmation email of deletion.
After the home has been allocated, candidates will receive the above email.
(Prospective) tenants can delete their profile 24/7.

Goal:
Allowing a rental property to be viewed by a candidate who meets the requirements of the property, both from the municipality and from the landlord, plus compliance with the obligations under the Good Landlord Act, where a set income requirement is an objective criterion for the selection of the property. Informing prospective tenants about properties.
Basis:
Legal obligation (Good Landlord Act).
Necessary for the representation of the legitimate interests of:
- The entire group of house hunters;

Retention period:
Viewing requests are retained for as long as the property in question has the rental status ‘available’. Once the property changes to the status ‘rented subject to conditions’, the viewing requests are deleted.

Measures taken (security measures)
MVGM has taken measures against the following risks to ensure the security of your personal data:
- Protect personal data against loss and/or damage;
- Protect IT facilities and equipment, both physically and in terms of software, against unauthorized access, damage, and malfunctions caused by, for example, hacks, malware infections, and viruses. The systems are kept up to date and the protective measures are regularly checked by external specialized parties;

- Use of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to access our systems;

- Logging and monitoring of personal data (such as attempts to gain unauthorized access to personal data or disruptions that could lead to corruption or loss of personal data);
- Ensuring regular training and awareness among employees;
- Conducting periodic security audits.
We enter into binding agreements with our service providers by means of processing agreements before we provide them with the data. They are obliged to protect the data using the latest technology and may only process it in accordance with our instructions.
Your rights
You have the right to access your personal data, the right to have your personal data corrected or deleted, the right to restrict processing, the right to data portability, and the right to object to processing. Most of these rights are not absolute and may be subject to exceptions in law.
Below, we explain your rights in more detail and provide information on how you can exercise them. We will respond to your request within one month, but we reserve the right to extend this period by two months if the request is complex or if there are multiple requests. If we extend the response period, we will notify you within one month of receiving your request. If your request is clearly unfounded or excessive, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee or to refuse the request in such cases.
- Access: You have the right to ask us whether we process your personal data and, if so, you can request access to your personal data. This allows you to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you and to check whether we are processing it lawfully.
- Correction: You have the right to request that any factually incomplete or inaccurate personal data we hold about you be supplemented or corrected.
- Deletion: You have the right to request that we delete or erase personal data in certain circumstances. There are situations in which we may refuse a request for deletion, for example when the personal data is necessary to comply with legal obligations or in connection with legal claims.
- Restriction: You have the right to request that we temporarily suspend the processing of certain personal data, for example if you want us to verify its accuracy or check the reason for processing it.
- Data portability: You may request that a copy of certain personal data be transferred to you or to another party (if technically feasible). You have the right to request that we provide your personal data to another organization in an easily readable format. This right only applies to personal data that you have provided to us and that we process on the basis of your consent or because it is necessary for the performance of the agreement between you and MVGM.
- Objection: When we process your personal data based on our legitimate interest, you may object to this processing. However, we may be entitled to continue processing your personal data if our legitimate interests outweigh your interests, rights, and freedoms, or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
In the limited cases where you have given consent for the processing of your personal data for a specific purpose, such as for the use of non-essential cookies or marketing communications, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Please note that withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing that took place on the basis of your consent prior to the withdrawal. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
If you have a complaint about how we process your personal data, you can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in the country where you live, work, or where an alleged infringement of applicable data protection legislation has occurred. The competent supervisory authority for the Netherlands is the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Submit a tip or complaint to the AP | Dutch Data Protection Authority).
Changes to privacy statement
MVGM reserves the right to make changes to this privacy statement, for example due to new developments, online services, or in connection with amendments to (changed) legislation and regulations. We will announce these changes on our website. In the event of material changes, account holders will also be informed by email.
