Description

Lots of space, lively and easily accessible. That characterises living in the Terwijde neighbourhood in Leidsche Rijn. An ideal area for those looking for space, but still want to live close to the city. Here you will find 67 private sector rental flats and maisonettes, located on Operettelaan and Victor Herbertstraat, with living areas ranging from around 53 to no less than 135 m2. With plenty of amenities nearby.

The flats and maisonettes meet a variety of housing needs. There are 2- and 4-room flats for rent, with different layouts and surface areas. Plenty of choice! As standard, the residences have a spacious and bright living room. The open-plan kitchen is equipped with built-in appliances. The bathroom has a bathtub, separate shower and washbasin. You can choose between 1 and 3 bedrooms.

Each flat has a private balcony across the entire width of the house. The balcony can be accessed from the living room via folding harmonica doors. You can park your car in your own parking space in the closed car park under the building.

The Terwijde Zuid neighbourhood in Leidsche Rijn is characterised by its spacious layout, varied streetscape and many ponds with reed banks and bridges. Stadspark Waterwinpark and Leidsche Rijn Park are popular recreational spots for local residents.

The amenities in Terwijde are urban and within easy reach. At shopping centre Parkwijk, you can get your daily groceries. Good alternatives are the old centres of De Meern and Vleuten. There are also a number of schools, day nurseries, a library and various sports facilities. And do you fancy an evening out or a nice day's shopping? At 5 kilometres from the neighbourhood is the cosy, historic centre of Utrecht.

Terwijde is also known for its good accessibility from the A2 motorway and its own railway station: Terwijde station. This makes Utrecht Central Station and cities like Leiden, The Hague and Rotterdam easily accessible.

Leidsche Rijn Centrum has everything that makes a neighbourhood attractive, such as shops, bars and restaurants and cultural amenities. You can go to the cinema with your partner or spend quality time with your family at the skate park or go shopping with your friends. Plenty of choice!

For your daily shopping, this is also a great place. Be sure to pay a visit to the largest supermarket in the province of Utrecht: the Jumbo Foodmarkt. There is also a primary school, after-school care, a community centre, a pharmacy and a library. Everything close to hand!

In Leidsche Rijn, nature is close by everywhere. Every neighbourhood has its own park. One of these parks is Maximapark. This park is as big as the city centre of Utrecht. A peaceful and at the same time lively park.

Here you can cycle, walk, run, play, laze, picnic and sail to your heart's content. And in and around the park there are various catering establishments where you can get a bite to eat and a drink. In short, something for everyone.

Nice to know! In 2014, this park was voted the most popular park in the Netherlands.

The cycling and walking bridge over the Amsterdam-Rijnkanaal connects Oog in Al with Leidsche Rijn and is thus part of the through-cycling route between Leidsche Rijn and the centre of Utrecht. Thanks to this bridge, you can reach Utrecht city centre in no time.
