Description

The 'Hendric' building consists of 124 rental and owner-occupied flats, commercially lettable spaces in the plinth (ground floor), a collective bicycle shed, a communal living room and a parking basement (which also meets the parking needs of the adjacent building, the Baronesse). All flats are accessed by a gallery access and are accessible via two lifts and staircases. MVGM Wonen rents out a total of 68 flats.
The building has a number of sloping façade lines, giving it a striking appearance and also emphasising the relationship between Faamplein and the railway landscape. Part of the fencing features a motif of beer bottles, referring to the history of the place. Once, thousands of crates were stored here from the former beer brewery De Drie Hoefijzers.
When designing the building, much attention was paid to a good connection between building and public area. A dense façade wall was avoided almost everywhere.

The main entrances are double-height spaces, easily recognisable and provide a view through to the inner garden.
The courtyard garden is semi-public and can be closed with a gate. The courtyard garden is designed to be as green as possible. The facades here are clad in wooden sections. The building embraces this great courtyard garden, among other things suitable for a beer with the neighbours. And if it rains? No problem. Then residents can use the residents' living room.

The apartment building has various types of flats, ranging from 75 to as much as 123 m2. All flats have a living room with an open kitchen equipped with built-in appliances (fridge-freezer, combination microwave oven, induction hob, wall-mounted cooker hood and dishwasher). Next to the kitchen is a storage room with heat recovery system, washing machine and dryer.
Depending on the type of flat, you have access to 2 or 3 bedrooms and a bathroom (with bath and shower) or a shower room. The toilet is in a separate room. Via the living room or one of the bedrooms you have access to a loggia (partially walled-in balcony). A separate storage room is located at ground floor level or in floor -1.
The flats are heated by underfloor heating, which is connected to the district heating system.
On Terheijdenstraat, between the two main entrances, is the communal bicycle shed.

If desired and subject to availability, you can also rent one or two parking spaces in the underground car park. In that case, you will not rent a fixed parking space, but a so-called roaming space. This means that you can park in any parking space provided by your landlord (marked in blue). There are also a number of visitor spaces in the basement car park, which you must reserve in advance (information on this will be provided to you).

Bus stops and Breda Central railway station are literally around the corner!
