There is plenty to do in Tilburg, for all people of all tastes. It is one of the best nightlife cities
in the southern Netherlands. Valuable traditions are cherished and where necessary revived
blown into life. The city also shows its innovative side. This generates streams of visitors, sometimes
from far beyond the city limits. They come to the Tilburg Fair, Festival Mundial, Tilburg Ten
Miles, Tilburg Wine City and Tilburg Culinair.
Tilburg also has a lot to offer in its immediate surroundings. Lovely walks in the Loonse en
Drunense Duinen or in Oisterwijkse bossen en Vennen. And how about a day at the Efteling amusement park?

But Tilburg is also a city that is changing. A city that grows and renews. On the outskirts, the
city is expanding, but various locations in the old city are also being filled in creatively. In and around the
centre of Tilburg, change is most visible.
On the corner of Ringbaan-West and Dr Ahausstraat, for instance, the Vredeburcht project is currently taking shape in the
Vredeburcht project in the Het Zand neighbourhood. The neighbourhood was created in the late 1950s and early 1960s to deal with the housing shortage.
