Kanaleneiland also has good links to the two major motorways: the A12 to Gouda and Arnhem, and the A2 to Amsterdam and Den Bosch. In future, part of the A2 will be covered, creating a green park strip on the opposite side of the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal.
