ACCESSIBILITY
Public transport to and from "De Nieuwe Wereld" is excellent. The express tram stop is located at the edge of the plan area, on Beneluxlaan. The express tram takes you in a few minutes to the city centre, to Utrecht CS, to Nieuwegein and to IJsselstein. Kanaleneiland also has good connections to the two major motorways, the A12 to Gouda and Arnhem and the A2 to Amsterdam and Den Bosch. The A2 will be partially covered in the future, creating a green park strip on the other side of the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal.
